pudding - just the question i was going to ask! .. rns 510 owners -what is the sat nav like to use ..i to like the tom tom at eye level when lost in a city. i believe it shows up on highline display as well? .. so basically whats the sat nav like to use in real life given its location ? ..

I have a revision Q and it's actually pretty good.  Full postcode, reasonably responsive, decent enough graphics and never get any satellite drop outs (TomToms were notorious for that back in the day).  The really old 510s, revision A - E are mega sluggish by modern standards.

It does indeed give you directions in the MFD display, I forgot about that.  I find myself looking at the Nav 99% of the time though!

Fitted new c hook front discs and pads what a difference they make, granted my old discs were totally shot

Used Pudding's anthracite grey shoe polish to cover up an abrasion on my leather driver's seat's side bolster!   :happy2:

thanks for the reply pudding , will stick the question on a new thread and see what everyone thinks - need to get rid of the basic unit !

Fitted full bcs turbo back exhaust that I bought on Black Friday last year with R32 rear bumper to my eddy. Big thanks to Nige and co at bcs the exhaust is spot on, went for the prestige system which is just right not too loud not too quiet. Cars gone to body shop now to get the bumpers sprayed.

You want to clean up those paw prints before taking a photo  :wink: I had some in exactly the same place when I did my swap.
