I didn't cut anything at the dashboard, all were done to the frame :)

Hmm mine seems a little thick to sit perfectly flush

@ant b heres the link for the one above. Its a decent match - not spot on but barely noticeable. Im sure itll darken over time . It was a bit messy to fit mind.

Got the car back a few days ago slipped them a drink to blow over the passenger door as the wife thinks its ok to touch other cars when opening the door. Went to the supermarket and someone keyed the passenger door ffs. Had enough now think i will sell here and buy an old banger with a big lump.

I was supposed to be doing a half marathon today, but it got snowed off so use the time to Fit my new BSC Powervalve DP and sports cat to complete the Powervalve TBE system  :drinking:

Thanks to @Powervalve Nige for sorting me out.

Not really had a chance to give it a good test yet, but I can feel straight away there's more low end torque there!

Checked oil then found the bonnet wouldn't latch properly. Luckily I had a new latch mechanism in the garage that I bought last year so now all fitted and latch shut again, straightforward and easy job and quite satisfying as well. The old one was pretty rusty internally and gunked up.

Been working on ChristianK’s Passat CC climate control retrofit mod, should hopefully be right when fully dry tomorrow (it’s sanded perfectly flat it’s just the ripple in the paint while it dries).

Needless to say I wish I paid someone to do it for me . Also ordered the actual climate dials for it.
