Here's some pics of the new blind spot mirrors, rear fog and single reverse lights, newly painted roof, smoke Lamin-x on the side mirror and marker, and red Lamin-x on the tails;

....Hmm, I like that! You are giving me ideas and stopping me from stopping modding.

Did you consider black vinyl on the roof instead of paint?

So, hosepipe ban was lifted where I live today. Gave it a nice thorough clean inside and out so it won't take as long for GTI Inters!:D

Really looking forward to Inters now, going to be on the LVSR trade stand so come and say hello if anyone sees me!:D

I did at one point, but since I had that wreck back in Nov., and it was being repainted, my mind was made up for me to go ahead with the paint. I will say that vinyl on the top seems more practical than on the bonnet and would receive far less to no rock chips in it up on top.

On Friday had Revision G DV fitted, my stock 1 had indeed split! Also had new pcv and cam follower fitted! Yesterday was my crowning glory, had BCS Powervalve exhaust system fitted, along with Forge Twintake! Will do proper write up when I can, lets just say that The fun has been put back into the GTi!! Even my partner called the sound 'orgasmic', and yes, she was talking bout the Powervalve, lol!! Next is R Tech on Tuesday for a Stage 1.5 custom map! :)

Gave it a good scrub. Every time I tried to dry it, it would rain. Every time I gave up, it'd stop. My LSP is virtually gone and really needed applying.  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:
Managed to dress the rubber and plastic trims, as well as the tyres.

Also dropped the tyre pressures to 35psi and the car feels less jittery.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

took the car for new boots on the rears yesterday morning after the Vreds were delivered Friday. Also got the wheels aligned. The gave the wheels a wash and waxed the newly exposed part of the rear alloy thats been damaged  :confused: Alloys are booked in with Lepsons 4th July and then the bodywork to be done after.

Got up early to take advantage of the good weather today and gave her a wash in order to restore some pride to my poor injured gal and treated her to a top up of Dodo Juice Light Fantastic wax using Megs Final Inspection QD as a prep. She looks spic and span now  :jumpmove:... so long as i turn a blind eye to her gouged OS rear alloy  :sick:

Found a station that carries non-ethanol premium fuel just 4 miles away. Hoping to notice a power difference tomorrow as I plan to floor the throttle a time or two. Do you all have ethanol free fuel there?

I've been considering TOYO T1 Sports next time. Anyone have experience with them?
