The last photo kind of reminds me of a Christmas Card for some reason?

....It's the colours as well as the scene. It would actually make a very good GTI christmas card with a Greetings message added  :happy2:

Thanks! The one time where changing to R32 rear lights might have ruined the colours in the photo!

....You've just reminded me that I'm still running around after over 2 years with mixed tail lights:

^ Don't ask - It's a long story! But somehow it doesn't bother me.

Somehow it doesn't seem that noticeable on a red car? I love the Valeo lights, it is always surprising being behind another MK5 and realising just how tricky it can be to see the indicator while braking...

....That's mostly why I got the Valeo rears - Much safer regarding signals to other road users. And they are prettier imo.

....How easily? I don't want to fit back my Valeo false LED inner units and buying a 4-unit set of the Ed30 dark tint rears is expensive.

Had Jonnybear over at mine today to do a couple of things.....

first we did a mod on the R32 Highline clocks to change the needles from clear to red and the blue leds to red.

sorry for crappy iphone pics! but you get the idea.

all thats left to do dash wise is install some leds in the blue temp display for the climate  control which now are completely random!

and also on 2nd pic ive now got the convenience settings too

in my opinion the red and white really goes best with the GTI, blue was a bit out of place.   i think VW shouldve done the R32 with all blue LEDS in the dash etc or white and blue which wouldve looked much better together and not have a muddled look.

Today this got pressed.

What got your W on?

And where can I get my W on?

The W is winter mode. It dumbs down the power and throttle response to reduce the chance of wheelspi (we have snow here at the min). I'm not 100% but I believe only the GT170's came with it.

I wouldn't mind having one where my 'esp off' button is so I can press that instead when I need to get my 'W' on...

Gave it a double waxing after a good wash. Meguiars cleaner wax and then a carnauba coat. My new buffer/polisher did a fine job for only costing $40usd on sale. I'll get a pic tomorrow if sunny again ;]
