Was going to give the Golf a well needed was and wax but didn't have the time so ended up doing something i have been meaning to do for a while. Empty the crud from behind the front mud flaps!

Wipped the mud flaps off and removed the wheel well liners to be greated with six years of mud, sand and other crap, in the end i removed just over 2lbs of crud most of which was sand.

Had these fitted

First impressions are fantastic, spendy but seem worth it,direction changes at roundabouts are alot quicker with no scrub feeling.
Quiet aswell, makes the eddy suspension feel more compliant and the whole car feels more up market, but the best part is, for those like me who suffer with the dredded handbrake button rattle, that has now gone  :happy2:

Dyno'd the R on the Loba L0400........

Peak torque up 10lbft Peak power up 25bhp

Although at the top end it doesn't run out of puff like the K04 and so at 7,000 rpm it is making over 50bhp more power and over 40lbft more torque.

Spool is very slightly better, but as near as makes no discern able difference.

 :happy2:

Attempted to change my DV this morning.. what a PITA! :sad1:  Failed miserably.  Tried the 'through the wheel-arch' method as that was my only option - couldn't get in to any of the 3 bolts really!

Wish I had an ED30....

Looks like a bit of grovelling at my local garage in the morning!  :happy2:
