Kerbed one the other day too, thankfully just winters, but still, feel such a t*** when you do it, don't you.
My wife keeps scraping her alloys parking(and pulling off her splitter) and I give her greif. I wish she would take her time an be a bit more careful. I was driving her car yesterday with her, when an ambulance came up behind the us. I pulled over to let it passed and managed to scrape at least a third of the rim. I got that horrible feeling in my stomach and a 'serves you right' in my ear. I felt like a massive t***.  :ashamed: From now on,  I will have to bite my lip. Lol

Yes that's the one votex splitter. There is a book with it from Vw and is said its genuine. I'm only guessing it what it is as it doesn't have the full picture from the front so I've crossed my fingers an I will receive it with in 2 days and then will see.

Sorry to say that splitter part number is for a non-GTI type bumper, i.e., an early 2.0 TDI or a 1.4 S type bumper. I saw it as soon as it came on ebay and was about to buy it but looked at the part on ETKA which confirmed the above.

The literature pics on the auction show it on a non sports bumper, for the price it is worth trying to mod it to fit  :happy2:

EDIT: the part number doesn't seem to match up with the actual item, win win.
