Fitted my new steering module and programmed in the paddles for my dsg tdi :-) took about 5 attempts to sort the power steering out after though!

Hi, new to mk5 ownership and came across this thread.  Had an early start at work and took the opportunity to stretch the golf legs on the back roads.  Arrived 15 mins early at the office.

Orc, it sounds ace  :happy2:

Nice burble when sitting idle & a nice smooth note when driving normal. But bloody hell  put the foot down & it's like a jet plane lol
I've yet to drive it on a long run as just been around town just now but will try it out tomorrow.
If I get a chance I'll put some sound clips on youtube & provide the links.
Swore I wasn't going to get an exhaust but had one on my A3 2.0 & it made it so much fun to drive.

Lordbigsack, is your car standard or modded ?

Such a good tyre these!

Fitted my TTRS/RS3 calipers along with some RC5+ pads and also some new Federal RSR tyres. Not really pushed the tyres her but the brakes feel awesome.

Finally goes to R Tech a week on Saturday for the week to get mapped, can't wait!

Running 345mm S3/R32 discs. I got some DaveB brackets. Didn't want to run the 370's as they're crap.

Changed front discs and pads. Also changed driver side outer cv boot.

Also got a few quotes to change both my front wings due to the rust issue. Vw wont touch them as pervious owner has already done a botch patch up. Quotes were between 700-800 notes.

So I think I will be changing them myself, I had a company provide a pre painted bumper, the colour match was spot on and they do wings. Will cout around 300 max.
