I have change the gearbox oil on every MK5 we have owned as this is by far the worse i have seen or in fact smelt. On the plus side there is virtually nothing in the way of metal filings :)

Took the wife n kids to Knightshayes House and gardens nr Tiverton for a day out.


Then visited the new house we are waiting for completion on (fingers crossed Friday) reversed into the drive and SCRAPE!! oooch



I think I may have some work to do before moving in!!

Lucky you checked and noticed. Last thing you want is fuel leaking in a hot engine bag  :scared:
Yep...it was almost unnoticeable. There was only a small bit of moisture appearing on the brass fitting before evaporating, but it was at the speed of a dripping faucet. Drip drip drip. Happy to have caught it.  :happy2:

Booked myself a ticket for the LVS Racing trackday at Blyton Park for the 27th July. Been a while since I've been on track so I'm really looking forward to it.....time to finally use those 888's!

100k on mine now,gonna do this over the weekend

I've always used VW oil, it's not cheap at circa £15 a litre (you need 3 bottles as capacity is 2.5l)
I'll dig out the invoice later and find the part number :)

Had to fit a new Goodyear Assy 2 to the N/S/F - B****Y potholes caused a sidewall bulge. Still had 5mm tread left Aaaaaaaaaaaah!  :mad: ........

Air filter, plugs, leads, oil & filter on the Mk2.5 today.

Rounded the caliper bolt the other day so will do the discs & pads when I get a new bolt.
