Bought winter wheels - refurbed 17" monza (powder coated) and brand spanking Nokian WR D3 all round :jumpmove:

Tried to install Kenwood DNX525DAB - got bluetooth mic, iPod cabling, GPS antenna and DAB aerial fitted before discovering I didn't have the right cable connector...  :ashamed:

Plugged in the VCDS and got rid of seat belt chime  :happy2: - also a few tweaks on steering weight, remote lock windows etc.

Now about that connector...
How did she know?

Engine management light came on on Saturday, so we took it to Tuning Werkes and ended up replacing the PCV to sort the problem. While it was there we also replaced the front pads and the old diverter valve, it had the original revision C on it so we now have a nice new revision D. Its a '56 plate with 50K on the clock so hopefully we will notice a nice little improvement with the car when we collect it tomorrow.  :happy2:

Finally got the Kenwood DNX525 DAB and NAV working... but it's staying on when car is off, there's no MFSW controls and the MFD is now staying on even when the car is locked... spoke to Western Car Radio and they sold me £65 worth of harness... which should have come with it but I ordered from Germany to save $$$ - serves me right... will fit it tonight, and get bluetooth up and running too. May even swap out the CAN Gateway just for the hell of it too... all fun & games.
How did she know?
