Cleaned all the salt off this morning, and froze my nuts off drying him with his new Turtle Waffle cloth, which is better than the Megs Water magnet actually.

Then went for as cautions spin, lot the front wheels on a bit of ice, and managed to keep it on the road - just!  :driver:

Then saw a lovely 1970's Scirocco Storm in Gold with cream leather. Beautiful car.

  :happy2:

Same minus the classic sirocco

Suns shining lovely but foam was freezing :-/ just wanted to get the grime off

The people that manage the estate have been gritting my road with a salt spreading trailer that fires rocks of salt at Mach II  :fighting: :fighting:

Need to find somewhere else to park  :sad1:

As well as a quick clean replaced the boot lid badge which was a nuisance of a job but now done and the white-worm menace has been removed!! :pomppomp:

:driver:Also took car our for spin and got spanked by a tuned Mk1 Civic R across the Brecon Beacons  :ashamed: - as the GTI is standard I can't let that happen again!! Downpipe & sports cat first then a service.

Well whilst checking my tyre pressures I noticed my car has picked up a few things over the past week :( Note to self never lend my car to anyone again!!!! Annoyed is an understatement!!!!

First of all a lovely chunk out of my splitter

Secondly a lovely chunk taken out of my tyre and kerbed alloy!!!

If anyone has any suggestions for a company that can refurb my alloys to OEM spec can you please let me know they're details.

Ben

Drove to see Eddie-NL to get my RNS, BT, MDI and Cruise control fitted and I'm well happy with it all  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Definitely should have got this done ages ago

Did he do your BT (BLUETOOTH) what phone do use? Did you source the parts yourself or did he source them for you?  Did your MDI fit in your armerest?Got a quote for 850!!!!! to do the aformentioned work!!  :scared: :scared: :scared:

Im still looking for my car  :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Yeah he fitted my bluetooth but I supplied everything except the canbus and cruise control stalk and wire. MDI fitted fine as already had a CD player and iPod doc in there so was only a new loom to the head unit required. My phone is an iPhone 4S and I got the 7PP6 035 730 G BT kit from car systems and its brilliant, only thing it doesn't support Red highline iirc only white onwards but as I have a midline it doesn't effect me.

Was £850 supply and fit?? As thats sounds about right depending on what RNS revision and BT kit you get. You could probably hunt down the part yourself cheaper

Looked at it a few times with the temptation to take it out. But it's tucked up for winter. Although it will be out this month to get some work done to it

PM for details

Gave the interior a clean & started on my wheels...

I have a sloped drive and the water from my wheel clean started to freeze so now my drive is like a skid pan!
Sheepishly skated back in the house! Hopefully warmer tomorrow so I can finish the job.

Another case for my neighbours thinking im :stupid:
