Mine is a full circle light as well when not on brakes. Someone must have done it in the past if it isn't stock!

And its when you put your foot on the brake that the brake light is only half a circle and is brighter than the normal light emitted from the rear. Mine are a full circle and so was my old mk5 and my mates mk5

Have you wired yours up and do they bring up any errors @irish_ram
