I'm still working out some little niggles I have on my method for the skyline mod. For a little explanation of my OCD with this mod have a look at this

I haven't sold any of these yet because I don't want to take people's money if I'm not happy with the result myself. Iv got loads on at the moment and just don't have the time to focus on getting a kit together but once I get my wedding etc done I can sort it out.

Word of advice about the full circle outer brake lights.... there is a method out there that says to bridge the two pins from the sides and brake circuits. Please don't do this as the resistance caused could be fatal to both you and your car - big old fire risk!!!

Would love to do this to mine, but don't really have the nerve to do it myself!

Unstuck my bonnet and fitted a new catch

Fitted a R/S3/TT gear linkage (part number 8J0711046E) for a slightly shorter shift. It's subtle but definitely feels tighter and all together nicer. I wonder if there is a kit for replacing all the bushes in the side/side linkage? One of my bushes (pn 1J0711067) was split and there is slight play in all (after 160K miles)

Gave the mighty GTI a quick bath!
Snowfoam, Wash with Megs (two bucket method) and a nice buff dry with a microfibre!

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I am just trying to find the reasons behind the low torque from my car, and from speaking to a fee custom mappers, it would appear the general consensus is that the larger coolers like the airtec, Peron etc seem to be a little to much volume for the ko3 turbo, and tend to give lower overall torque readings compared with s3 or golf r coolers. they are more suited to ko4 and larger as they can fill the volume much easier, hence why I done a swap with a guy from my work.

Like you wouldn't believe! A good few hours work stripping out an intercooler on these! Haven't really driven the car yet, but to be honest, I don't expect to notice any great improvements, but the fact that I am running around 20-40 ftlbs less than the average ko3 at stage 2+, it has bugged me since getting it to 2+.

Need to get a dsg map now, just arguing over losing the dsg farts, as I really like them

I believe honestly do feel for you man.
I never really got deep into that when I had my Chinese cheapo fmic on but the car felt sh*t hot with loads of grunt when I had it mapped. took it all off for resale when car was sold and was kind of gutted too. never mind this one will be a new challenge for me.

had a 600x300x70mm one fitted and it wasn't as tall as our oem ones but I think it was quite cool get it cool  They definitely help with cooling but better to go wmi imho as that's the d'z b'zzz  :jumping:
