Jesus, all that for £50! Fair play if you don't need touchscreen (which in reality is not that great on the RNS 510, especially when driving) or navigation. OEM as well - good job  :happy2:

That looks ace mate. Loving the fact that it's OEM and a bit different too! Nice one :happy2:

Wait till the noise gets on your nerves

My twintake is so so subtle compared to the ramair and I'm glad I swapped, also the filter on the ram air gets really hot, sucking in that hot air with that useless Heatshield

I can take the noise as my tt renault 5 turbo used to suck like the wind on steroids  :signLOL:

Heat is going to be an issue but not so much that it worries me  :happy2: told by a professional remap vagcheck that a bit of heat is good for the engine as was my tt and proven on many many tests so I'm happy.

Cam follower replaced this evening. Started at 8pm was done by 0930. First time I ever did anything to a car. Was pooping bricks when I was fitting the metal line that goes into the 17mm nut back in, fuel started to come out suddenly but once I tightened the nut it stopped.

Should it suppose to do that?

That doesn't make sense as fuel comes out when you release the pipes as it's still pressurised  :signLOL: well done for your first attempt as not many have the guys to try this. it's a pitta getting that banjo bolt for the first time but the second time is easier  :signLOL:

Good you caught that one as it's had a really bad upbringing and was close to the death of you cam lobe and hpfp  :scared:

Yeh thats what I thought. I released the pressure on the shrader valve and undid the valve too. The fuel came out and then stopped. But started coming out again from the metal line bit when I was re assembling everything.

Should I be worried?

not at all as once the cars re started all will be well as long as no leaks which there shouldn't be  :happy2:

my used pump didn't have thr shrader valve on it so must be an earlier pump as I've now got a VIS HPFP internals in it and it's a lot better from my motorway and Sunday night race with an R7 and white ttrs  :signLOL:
