This was actually a couple of days ago but I drove the wife down to Weymouth in my MK5 Golf GTI on a day trip. On the way home we stopped off at a place called Durdle Door. Its absolutely stunning scenery with some great roads running along the coast line

That's bloody glorious. As much as there are plenty of reasons to be fed up with this country right now, there are many more to love it.

I'm moving to the coast one day.

Yeah, that's Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, just a few miles up the coast from us. So many lovely places here on the South Coast - come and live here; you won't regret it. I wished that we'd moved here years ago, when our boys were young. Can't see us ever going back to Warwickshire (the Midlands), permanently....unless we get grandkids. Busy in the summer, but the rest of the year, we get this all to ourselves. We were at Durdle Door last year, and someone commented that we could be on a Greek island......

Piece of useless info for you....Dorset grows the hottest chille pepper in the WORLD (to use a Clarkson). Less than half of a small pepper in a curry would render it inedible, so I am told - The Dorset Naga.....Must look it up....

I curbed my Rotor!

I've been parking well away from curbs, but a brief laps in concentration when pulling over was all that was needed. All it will get is some lacquer for now.

That's actually Durdle Door and Man O'War Bay not Lulworth Cove which is a little bit further along the coast. We have our boat moored in Weymouth Harbour and regularly drop anchor in Lulworth Cove, the coastline along here is stunning.

Keeping it original..............or not!!

Ahhh cheers mate, will edit my post accordingly :happy2:

You're right though, the coastline along that stretch is simply stunning. I've been down to Bournemouth goodness knows how many times and we visited Swanage a few years ago. However going back to Weymouth brought back great memories. It really hasn't changed that much since I was a kid back in the 80's. Loved the little harbour, its full of loads of good restaurants and pubs. What more could you want on a hot summers day!

I think Cornwall is next on the list, always fancied visiting the Eden Project as well as checking out the scenery

Just got it back from Statller's having a Loba pump fitted, injector replaced, and a few other little bits, as well as the usual informative chat with Steve!

It's now running very well indeed.

Next up... brakes.

Yeah the map is requesting lots of fuel and the standard pump just couldn't keep up.

Cheers mate, plan is to keep it clean and tidy, enjoy the power, and put a bit away for some decent brakes. Self-imposed spending ban!

Yes I thought so when you mentioned it on your other post and good thing you did as you don't want detonation in the cylinders if it is prone to happen.

If I do keep the car I'll need a brake upgrade too as the exhaust and other mods are going on soon. may even grab an S3 I  to top it off.
