That's what I thought.

Yeah I'd ask as that sounds dodgy  :signLOL: probably meant if the customer damages the tint then warranty void but in a different language  :signLOL:

I love my tints!
When I bought the car I thought "one of the first things i'm going to do is remove those tints"..
Never did - now I love em!

What i wouldn't give for a fully spruced up one of these bad boys!!

I remember when Max Power would have a front page article on how someone had managed to fit 17's to an R5 GT!!

Hilazarious - how times have moved on eh :happy2:

Awesome little things weren't they!

My uncle had one in grey that he must have owned for 10 years. Totally stock, and very clean. I've got fond memories of riding in it as a kid. It's probably that car that planted the seed in me actually.

Anyway, he gets to the point where he's going to sell it. I really wanted it, but at 18 years old my dad didn't like the idea one bit, and firmly vetoed it. Turns out the person he sold it to fitted it with big ugly wheels, treated it like sh*t, and wrote it off in a ditch within weeks of buying it! I was gutted to hear about it, and of course made it clear to my dad that he should have let me buy it and look after it!

I ended up with a 1.8T Audi not long after that, so all wasn't lost. But I still look back and think "what if?".

Iconic cars. I bet 95% of them are dead now unfortunately.

Sad story and I feel for you as I've owned two and they are awesome little pocket rockets  :signLOL: first one I had registration  E41DVL looked lile a little devil too with a tazmanian devil on the outer black sunstrip shouldn't have sold it but some stupid brother I have was jealous and put it into my head that I should sell it. was worth 3.500 and sold it for 750  :stupid: :stupid: :doh: :slap:  :slap: me in the head for that mistake. black lowered one off and I didn't even get pictures at the time  :doh:  :slap: :slap: again.

second one was a money pit. 3k in 2 years and sold it for £550  :stupid:

I'd love to own another but no where to house it. same with my E reg uno turbo  :jumping: little beast.

well lets move on to sh*ter things  :signLOL:

Not really into cars...no...he didn't like spending much on them for repairs...and he could always find someone to fix, repair, or rebuild his Beetles on the cheap. He always had a Beetle up to about 1990. I remember once, around 1970, he heard in Tijuana you can have a complete interior refurb. Seats, door cards, carpet, and headliner for $25 and all done in a half day. I remember him being slightly ticked when it took nearly all day and was $40 instead of $25  :doh:

Well it seems to be the fashion at the moment so I thought I'd better get around to fitting this seeing as I've had it a few months;

Not original but not really surprising;

All fitted;

It does feel a bit keener on acceleration from low speeds but it's not a night and day transformation so I guess my original was working kind of ok but I'm glad I did it any way.
