Here's my cam follower, 70k on the clock.

Scratches on the follower look worrying
I'd check the camshaft properly for wear too

It looked ok bud, just didn't have my phone on me to take a pic, and they're not really scratches, it's quite smooth.

Wow, top job

Cheers, that 3M kit really could not make it any simpler!

If I didn't balls it up anyone could do it!

Did you use just the one kit for both lights?

Yes it does.

Washed and dried, managed to get a layer of sealant on. headlights were machine polished as they were looking abit hazy (forgot to get a pic of them) and machine polished my B pillars as they looked terrible with all the swirl marks and scratches.

Today I got the parts that I recently bought fitted:
-Celtemp HPFP protection shield
-VW Racing intake for K04
-Custom painted TTS engine cover
-VW Racing adjustable front drop links
-Go Fast Bits lightweight crank pulley

I didn't take a picture of the GFB crank pulley but it's much lighter (1,4 kg) than the OEM part. It comes with 6 new bolts.

The included bolts had different sizes. One was too long and the other was the same size as the OEM bolt. So I kept the OEM bolts and I'll make a complaint to Celtemp. :fighting:

The closed cone bracket on the grill had to be trimmed a bit due to the larger IC so that the bolts could be screwed. Other than that all fitted nicely.

Final result! The engine bay is a bit black but it contrasts with the white car. I like it!

Both factory drop links were ruptured so it was a good call to get them replaced with better parts now.

So far I'm liking the new engine sound. It has a deeper roar a bit louder than before. It makes me want to boost the engine more often so the louder sound is exciting. :driver: It's quiet on normal driving which was also something I was looking for.

The engine seems to rev better on higher rpm and the butt dyno is happy with the new intake. I hope when I get the car dyno tested again the result is better too.

So far I'm liking it a lot. I bought it on the Black Friday sale.

The shield protects the fuel pump sensor which wasn't cheap.

They were shortened about 30 mm compared to the OEM ones, since I have H&R-30 mm springs. Both were set at the same length.

Your headlights look great, makes me realise how much mine could do with being sorted out. Did you just use a cutting polish or did they need wet and dry sandpaper?

I also have 30mm H&R full suspension and adjustable roll bars so thinking will I need to adjust my white line links to accommodate and how much will I need to screw them in/out

The VWR intake was £369.20 and the protection shield 44,95 €. A LOBA HPFP costs £620 nowadays, I think. I prefer to make sure nothing bad happens to it.
