@PatchySan The car looks great! The genuine R32 rear valance has dual centre tail pipes, not side tail pipes like the GTI.

Ah yes sorry I didn't make myself clear, the top part of the rear with the reflectors is genuine. The bottom diffuser with the exhaust cut out for the GTI come from SRS-Tec which is a good fit and looks OEM, plus it's not often you see these about!

Most of a service done. Cabin filter, air filter and cam follower. Realised i didnt have enough oil and my local stealers wanted £60 for a 5L jug of the stuff you can get on ebay for £22! So Oil change will have to change.

Think i caught the cam follower just in time  :scared:

Cleaned exhaust tips up with Autosol and wire wool, worked really well.

Went to change the oil and the filter housing was stuck fast, had to drill through it, lucky i had one ordered! New plugs, air filter and fuel filter too.

Next up is the engine mount insert from  powerflex, just need to get up on a ramp!

Windscreen replaced yesterday, it went well, the guy from auto-glass was good, he said he's been doing them for over 20 years, and did a great job.

Although it was OEM, I could'nt tell the difference, the colour (blue tint) was fine, the black pattern around the edges looks the same, and you can see the vin number as well....only difference to me was the vw stamp.

It came to around £70 quid, he also said as long as I own the car the warranty is covered, so in all I'm happy with the result.

Did he have to remove the wipers and scuttle panel?

To be honest I dont know as I did'nt watch  nor ask, I just let him get on with it, it took around 45 mins, before I knew it he was done.  (might be worth giving auto-glass a call, they were very helpful in answering my questions / concerns before the job).

Yes, that's needed from what I saw when I had the windscreen of my GT Sport replaced.
