That looks really good. I did think of doing my lip yellow like yours and then doing the calipers etc but I got talked out of it by various people but that shade of yellow looks spot on and the engine cover brings it together :happy2:

thanks!    :happy2:

the colour is called ZincGelb  i went to the paint shop and matched it to the caliper paint i got from awesome GTI. i think it looks similar to the LEON in that yellow. im really happy with the way it turned out!

I bet you are, I kinda wished I done it now but I hadn't seen anyone do yellow before, at least not with laser blue, so I didn't bother/got talked put of it but after seeing your pics it really does work.

Is the silver mk5 with green calipers in the background running VMR alloys?

yeah, its my VMR wheels on my brothers GTI. hes gone with green for brakes and interior carbon vinyl for the trim. i previously had white calipers when i had my stock GTI brakes. the interior trim was in white gloss and so was the stripe on the front. i liked the white and blue look but figured yellow was more sporty!
im not doing my interior trim yellow tho, its wrapped in 3M Di-Noc carbon fibre at the mo!

Got a few Christmas pressies for the GTI! New pair of door grab handles, full set of chrome switches and a stubby Polo aerial  :happy2:
Just need a bit of time to get it all fitted.

Yes it is OK to clean and re-oil the oil filter.
As far as what you can use there, IDK, sorry.
Here I get K&N cleaner and oil from any parts house.

Ha, that's one of the first things we started talking about (cars, trackdays etc....) Was a shame to find out that he wasn't on here but I think he may be along soon after I told him how great a forum it is! :happy2:

He's really into the scene too and has already done a few trick bits to his car, I'll try to give him some encouragement to join!

I sat in it in the garage and dusted it with a swiffer. 29 deg F right now and not much warmer at the warmest time of day.

Anybody hear of any new GIAC remap/dsg remap for the R that may carry over to the bpy?

Dropped it in at the body shop to get the boot rust fixed under warranty. A little disappointed I only got the Polo this time, I was hoping to get the Merc again!
