Quick trip to see Alex at AKS tuning to change my Cam follower as I could not do it myself being a 2005 Gti.

Good news old follower showed little wear and camshaft looked ok considering car has done 68k.

Possibly been replaced before but I have pretty good service history which would suggest not.

Just ordered my GAZ coilovers!

Spec includes 350lb front springs(3" 40lb helper springs) and 300lbs rear, adjustable bump/rebound dampening, adjustable height, shortened damper rods, all TUV approved with 2 year warranty! 

With these I'm fitting at the same time;

H&R Anti-roll bars front + rear( with Poly bushes)
New RS3/TT top mounts and bearings
SuperPro front wish bone bushes (already have s3 solid console bushes)
Vibratechnics large & small lower engine mounts
Subframe bolts/spacers...

Should improve the suspension a bit...

Mine looked the same when i change it at 58,000 miles. Don't seem to wear too much on the early ones. Still always worth a check though.

As of Friday my ed30 no longer has to go to horrible building sites she just gets to stay clean at home
My work shed now
