Yesterday I washed my GTI for the first time since early December.

Today I started to clay and Zaino her and will continue tomorrow providing the weather allows.

Had to use a dremel to make the housings a little thinner on the sides and i had to make the hole it sits in under the seat a bit longer too.

Bought new GTI mats from Scotswood VW, went to fit them today, bleeders have got round hold em downs, not oval twist tab ones! Bugger. I knew my bargain purchase, acquired when they were having a 10% promo discount, would backfire.

Do what I done and swap the clips on the mat over!! I ordered these but asked for two sets of oval fixers and he sorted that out for me!!

I really liked the later GTI imbossed car mats but they only came with stud fitting so looked into this and they work perfectly!!

Going to be taking the plastic under tray off & either repair or remove it (its the big plastic sheet under the floor panel has been damaged since I bought the car - with lows coming soon it needs sorted)

Removed the interior front reading lights console and repaired it using a unit bought off ebay. Now the interior lights work come on when a door is opened.

Its the small things that impress me :laugh:
