why didnt the car say washers were empty tho?

Maybe they've been coded out bud, are your Xenon's factory fitted? If so they'll have the sensor in the reservoir.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

It's coded in the instrument cluster, accessed through VCDS.

It's possible your original code wasn't input in the new clocks.

could all that trying to get it working put trapped air into the pipes ?
would maybe explain the low pressure

theres plenty of water, no spluttering as you would expect (like my shower at the moment!) but i thought it may be a symptom of a failing pump.

pump failing at the exact same time the pipe fell out ?
what about giving vw a call, any service dept and tell them the pipe fell out and now the pressure is way down, maybe they will have an instant answer they could give you.
Let us know how you get on anyway buddy  :happy2:

Mine dumped out all it's water once. A pipe had come unconnected at the bottom of the washer reservoir. It was right behind the drivers side foglight cover. Think it had just worked loose over the years. Not sure if that's what has happened to yours though.

yes, thats what it was! removed fog grille and the pipe was off!

why didnt the car say washers were empty tho?

still doesnt seem right, the back screen washer is flimsy to say the least and the fronts dont seem right either, the drivers side only comes half way up the screen where the passenger is normal. cant see debris clogging up the jet. my bro says ive burned the motor out because its been "over used" as i like a clean screen. maybe a bit OCD  :jumping:

That's good, i'm not the only one it happened to then
Anyway it was problem sorted once my pipe was back on. You've obviously got other problems going on there. Couldn't say what though. Good luck with that!

Just dropped the gti off at the garage to get the dv changed.

With all these threads recently floating around about them splitting I got paranoid and bought a revision D DV :P I was looking at the forge dump valve, but couldn't justify spending £195 on it when the revision d seems to do the same thing.
