Fitted some new replacement xenon bulbs - had to remove the headlamp for access but all was good in the end

Just need to upgrade the other non xenon bulbs now

Well as threatened last weekend, I changed out my drivers window regulator this morning which failed last Saturday.  Failed due to lower cable having terminal internal corrosion to the point of jamming.  Gave my Dad a shock  :scared: when he popped round in his R32 to find my GTI stripped of its door skin, crash bar, glass, regulator and motor.  Not a bad job - took a couple of hours but that included cleaning up the door internals and throwing some waxoil about whilst I was in there.  Used a genuine regulator (£95) but figured that (having owned the car over five and half years with no plans to sell) it was worth it as the old one had managed over 9 years and 82k before dying.
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!

Gave it its first wash in four months. I'd forgotten it was black!  :ashamed:

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Not a mk5, but, dragged this out of a shed where it's been for about 20 years, belongs to a friends dad. The idea is me and some friends will get it up and running (if possible). Needs a lot of work done!

Removed the globe box mid kit as I never use it. Will be in the for sale section soon if anyone's interested.

Got 2 new Eagle F1s on the front and gave it a good wash.

Spent this weekend, retrofitting an armrest, Euro cup holder, centre ashtray (then changing the ciggy lighter over to a 12v item) and connecting up my bluetooth module and mic....and soothing bleeding knuckles.  :surprised:
