Tesco or O2
« on: June 13, 2011, 09:55:00 am »
My O2 contract has finished.
Would like to stick with O2 since their reception is good for where I need it.

Tesco also use the O2 network, and their tariffs are a little cheaper - although Im not sure if they are as good as O2?
Also not sure I can live with 'Tesco' written on my iPhone every day!!!  :signLOL:

Anyone have any experience of Tesco's with their iPhone?

Just signed my dad over to Giff Gaff and tempted to follow suit tbh! Plus they use the O2 network which I am currently on so know the coverage will be great too!

As the other guys have said, forget Tesco, Giffgaff is the way ahead !

I have been with them for four months now and use a "goodybag" which in essence costs anything from a £5 to £25

Link here

http://giffgaff.com/goodybags

You also earn payback for helping people in the community, as it does not run call centres, but run by its members, so far I have used a £20 goodybag every month (so £80) and have only actually paid £10 as I get payback for helping in the forum !

If you do order a sim and use this link, you will also get £5 free and I get some more payback points !

Any more info just PM me, but I use the unlimited data which is just top

Ive heard of GiffGaff.
How does it work - is it like PAYG then??
I order a sim then activate and top up every month?

Is the reception an dthe speed of the connection the same as O2, or do O2 give them less priority?

Yes it is the same principal, PAYG no contract !

But PAYG rate is 8p a call, so very cheap and you can then buy goodybags if you think you will use it a lot.

But the bonus is you are not tied into anything.

Like all phone networks some people on the forum complain of certain problems, calls not going through, slow internet. So giffgaff responded by giving back free internet until they sort out the problem !

so in essence PAYG with free internet, like i said I have not had any problems, Data is quick, calls always go though ! As you know the 02 network is solid !
