IT Section?

Seams a very very popular subject on these forums so just wondering the possibility of a IT sub section in General Chat or something?

Apple fanboys can use apple forums. Don't see why you need anything more than a single thread tbh. Stops cluttering up the place.

I wasn't relating directly to just for Apple lovers, in general over the past few days I felt there was a fair few posts regarding IT where people needed help and just general chat etc.

Was only a suggestion. :confused:

i second bettys suggestion, i think its a good one.

yes there are other forums where you can discuss these things but most other forums are just full of idiots, generally this place is alright and (generally) everyone gets treated with the same respect, regardless of how savvy they are in whatever topic of discussion it is. hence an IT discussion with you lot might not be a bad thing, there are obviously a few people here who know a thing or two aswell so it could benefit everyone.

Oh it must be that time of the year again, out comes grumpy Robin  :chicken:

With my "user of the site" hat on I don't feel the site needs this kind of extra section as random chat can be used for this purpose, and it's not like people are going to be searching the site for IT related topics so another board to maintain does appear to add much value to me.

Happy to listen if more people have a balanced opinion on this  :happy2:

....Agreed that Random Chat does the job ok. And there possibly wouldn't be enough traffic to merit it.

Was disappointed rather than grumpy, but if 'grumpy' gets your attention and a response  :happy2:

The photography section was meant for, in general, pics of GTI's, it was a couple of large ego'd people who decided they wanted there own picture thread.  :innocent:  ( only Kiddin )

In all seriousness there is no point in lots of unrelated sections it is a forum for GTI's. The more we dilute it, the more problems are encouraged. The reason why this place works well, is because you have like minded people with a shared interest in a subject, which means in the main everyone is respectful to each other. you only have to add another Mk of GTI and battle lines will be drawn.
Simple and uncluttered is were it's at IMO.  :happy2:
