De-cats and lambda sensors

try as I might I couldnt see any car related products on that website

I am not convinced by the benefits of stage 2, maybe just me getting my threads mixed up, but you Chris and RR all started having little niggley problems when going stage 2.

As i say you may be able to explain them away with other causes but its not for me at this time. Its plenty fast at the moment. 

....Really? That's the first I've heard of me having Revo Stage2 related problems.

Stage1 is plenty fast enough though. However, stock does feel sluggish after you've got used to either Stage1 or Stage2. The 'jump' between Stage1 to 2 feels far less than between stock and Stage1.

If he knows a friendly mot tester it will :wink:its a instant fail if it hasn't got a cat on

not true. its there in place for emissions but if your car can pass its mot without a cat thats fine. it has been known for some cars to actually pass the emissions test without a cat

....That's absolutely fair enough, TC - Best to stick with what works for you. I enjoyed Stage1 and didn't move to Stage2 because I particularly wanted to. Any probs I initially had with Stage2 weren't directly related and due to Revo's ability to have the settings tweaked she's been running sweet for thousands of miles.. Never better as the girlie says in this vid: "Yeah I'm good, never better, never better"

As much as I love a tasty flange, it still doesn't answer my question!

I'd stick my neck out and say yes it would pass with no cat..

Based on figures of 2.0T FSI cars, with Revo map albeit, and sports cats, it suggests that they very well could..

There are plenty of cars out there when tuned, and not running pig rich, as they do with standard maps will pass an emissions test with no CAT in the exhaust..
