Ed30 Stage 2
« on: June 23, 2011, 12:06:14 pm »
Hi - I'm considering having my ed30 mapped to REVO stage 2 at some point in the future, which will involve me buying a 2nd hand Milltek TBE and most likely an ITG intake... can anyone let me know what the likely BHL and torque will be ... and also in these tough times... is it possible to maintain stock mpg figures when not booting it?

BHP and torque will depend on which dyno the car goes onto to be honest. There are plenty of build threads on here that have info on this (mine for one) so worth you trawling through those [search is your friend].

These are some figures, comparing Stage 2/2+ on JKM's rollers (note other mods in place)

I actually get better fuel economy when genral driving m,apped over stock. But I'm not bothered with fuel costs, you have to pay to play..

Cheers Dom.. I know the Dyno lottery has a lot to say when talking numbers :-)

I had expected Stage 2 to put the output somewhere closer to 350ish though

Thats a really useful graph Dom, I have similar hardware to yours (Miltek TBE, APR pump, ITG intake and Forge Cooler) and only running Stage 2 revo. Assuming you have run the same mods with S2 and S2+ how different do the two maps feel on the road. Looking at the graph I'd assume it pulls harder from 4.5k and holds onto the power longer?

Stage 2 will usually see 320ishbhp and similar in torque figures

Thanks David - you'll have seen my potential plans if negotiations with the GIAC dealer fails :happy2:

Worth noting that the same setting, similar ambient temp and pressure have seen variations in dyno readings from 322 (above), 345, 368 bhp. So yes, it is a lottery. What you should be looking at is the difference between the two sets of graphs to look at relative performance differences. With the APR HPFP the difference in mid range is immense between 2/2+, although overall I think that Stage 2 is a more rounded package.

You can get good mpg on all 3 stages, just depends on how heavy your right foot is :jumping:
There is a noticeable difference between all 3 stages. I think stage 2+ is by far the best :happy2:

My latest thoughts on modding my Ed30 [if negotiations with the GIAC dealer go no where], is to not get a better panel filter / ITG intake and Milltek TBE alongside the Revo stage 1 or 2 and just getting a Revo stage 1 map on the DSG and ECU.... Given the first option will cost approx £1500 (as the TBE is 2nd hand) and the second option closer to £900....

Any thoughts will be appreciated

Hi guys! I am running an APR Stage 2+ Remap with a few other mods. I have just had it rollered at 371.....the key engine mod for me was the APR High PRessure FUel Pump! ;-)
