Key Covers
« on: June 25, 2011, 10:37:08 am »
Hello,

Noticed this from cupra.net

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=318687

Look not to bad I thought.  Looks like they are offical seat parts aswell.  Have had a look for vw ones and cant find any.  Would have been quite good when I had my old cupra but not wanting an FR badge or Cupra badge on the GTI keys.  Makes no scense.

Anyone any ideas if these are avalible in VW?  Have had a look but no sucess

Thanks

They should fit, I have got a Seat flip key and they are exactly the same other than the badge.

Very nice little mod Mike.
Though I bet it costs a bit, does it get scratched easily?

I have seen some leather pouches that are tailored to fit around the key fob, but the fob alone is quite bulky, so to add on a leather cover may make it just a little too big.

Anyone found a GTI or plain carbon one?

Looks like only Seat are currently doing them.

Mike is yours the old style fob with the larger logo?

It could be, sorry not sure.  Ordered my car Aug 07 and collected Jan 08 so could well be the 'old' version
