Dog cage / guards???
« on: June 25, 2011, 06:41:06 pm »
Is anyone esle mad anough to let their dog in the car? if so has anyone got any recomendations for cages/guards that still do the job but without loosing loads of boot space, we've only got a small border terrier but the cage we've got is slightly too big and we're having real difficulty finding something else.

I use my dog guard that i had in my audi a3 2004.

It goes on the hooks the back seats fix onto, it move a little but its fine and you can use leave it in with the parcel shelf when the dogs not in.

Maybe a 3-4 inch gap all round at the top but a dog cannot get though

it breaks my heart, yes i let my dogs in the car, i use the RAC dog seat cover a nice thick material which protects the seat, i try very hard to only let dry dogs in the car, i love my dogs as much as my car so they can share it :) as long as there good in it :P

You need a dog bag from roofbox.co.uk. I have 2 dogs and they are spot on.

Link http://www.roofbox.co.uk/dog-bag/

If you get one then go for the returned ones. They are half price and not returned. Just cheaper...

VW do a guard for a MK5 sits flush to the back of the seats.
Just fold down the back seats stick it in and fold the seats back up and away you go

Looks like this
