Considering selling my Golf
« on: June 26, 2011, 05:54:31 pm »
Hi all, am considering selling my Golf as since changing jobs I just don't use it anymore. I go To work by train or using my motorbike.

I'm just interested in peoples opinions on value.
The car is a 2007 07 plate. It's just trickled on to 50k. It's steel grey, 3 door and I think has just about every option available...
its been well looked after and is kept looking immaculate and currently has a good coating of colinite 476 wax

Factory Xenons
Parking sensors
DSG
Paddle shift
Multi function steering wheel
Highline
Cruise control
TBE miltek
Coilovers KV3
R32 brakes
LED tail lights
Stage 2 revo map
BSH intake
BSH catch can
Sat-nav
Forge DV
4 virtually brand new vred's on The standard Monza 2's

And a mint pair of 'those seats' which seem to be worth a pretty penny

It's fully up to date with servicing including the cambelt and water pump

Can't think of other things at the mo but bound to be more.

at the moment its more curious on what I might get for it as it just sits there doing nothing all week long and play on The bike at weekends or use the Mrs's car

Difficult one, i'd say about £10,500-11,000?

It's easy to say higher but the cars just don't sell at the high prices they used to.

The mods may serve to hinder the car sale, and any extras you fitted don't really come into it when selling a car.

Probably easier to strip to standard and sell as standard (sell the aftermarket parts etc).

I'd say advertise at £12,000-£12,500 and then don't accept less than £11,500-£11,750 because of the extras, especially having the Xenons and Recaros!
