Thank goodness I bought the new iMac when I did! I'm now living off benefits for the foreseeable future but at least I own my home without a mortgage etc and my daughter's education dosh is ringfenced. No more car mods, but none needed!

Am getting much more back into my music creation now my home studio is back up and running with the iMac hub, and I still have the strong connections at my very good friend's 'proper' recording studio. Turning music into money is famously difficult but I chase the vision and just hope some dollar may follow if Lady Luck smiles on me (again!).

Not good to hear Robin, but at least you are in the enviable position that nothing is at risk beyond your ability to spend!  Maybe we should organise a meet down closer to you that can save you the petrol money  :drinking:

Yes, I don't expect to be posting anything in the Recent Purchases thread! My net disposable income works out at £9 per day, so that has to cover all my food and V-Power. Fortunately I only eat one good meal a day so that's not compromised. It's weird because I'm eating the same as before and am 'talking' to you on a brand new 27" iMac. Still, I've been through downturns before but my age is now against me.

Thanks for the words of support though, folks - It does help  :drinking:

I remember how flat I felt when I resinged and realised it's best to get a job first !  I'm sure you'll put your hand to something, what about setting up a web mail order VW performance parts business ?!
