.
I'm 99% sure VW didn't (Mk5) but an aftermarket company has. In Germany I think - Sorry I don't have details.

Not as good a fit as OEM items apparently..  and fibreglass rather than polyurethane I think..

^^^^
I think the SRS-TEC is the one I was thinking about. Looks fine on their website and decent size pic viewable. I reckon much more reliable source than fleeBay which can be a matter of luck whether a product is good or rubbish unless you already know the trader.

A tip for you if you get one: The extreme right and left sides fixings may be a 'male' flat tab (my OSIR carbon exhaust trim is) and it can work loose. The trim won't fall off but it looks untidy being out of line. Drill a small hole big enough for a cable tie in each of the two side tabs - You'll have to cut and renew the cable ties if you ever want to remove the trim but that's eeeasy-peeasy.

^ Pic of underside but before I did the cable tie mod.
You can see there's plenty of places to tie and secure the trim - There's holes already there in the bodywork.

....I would send them an email and ask. Also ask what material exactly and if they have any other pics of it when off a car so you can see the inside and thickness. I think you'll find that they'll be very helpful - German aftermarket companies usually are in my experience.

If you do get it or more info please post and share with us  :happy2:

ok still on the subject of rear diffusers, i was following a mk6 yesterday and seen they have seperate diffusers/bumper.

Would anybody know if the rear diffuser would fit the mk5 R bumper? it doesnt look different from lookking at it.

It definitely won't fit. The shape is similar but the R bumper insert is taller than the mk6 one.
GTI going...
