. Nothing wrong in having your ego stroked occasionally.

Is that what people are calling it nowadays?

Not really. The first two have the Flickr logo and "unavailable" signs but you can click on them. I wish you could find a nice example of the classic and have your car next to it. Would be awesome IMO. Are any of them still knocking about?

Would love to see this car in the flesh.
Private, naked viewing. Good idea Stealth, I'm in.
Okay but please keep your hands to yourself. In fact, keep yourself to yourself just in case you have any funny ideas.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I only live about 45 mins away from the Evo triangle, and have made 2 visits already. And i can confirm that the corners of my mouth were tickling my ears.

The 2ublar exhaust landed at Top cat towers today, after a fair wait.  This is the only zorst for Lotus, there is a couple of other brands but non of them are a patch on 2ublar. This one is called a H2 GT3 and is quietened down version for track days, which should be interesting. To be honest i cant wait to get it on the car, although the sound now is epic, it is just to loud and the milltek like  drone  is tiresome.

The engine mount inserts will be getting fitted at the same time, these make a big difference to the feel of the car with only a slight vibration on idle. Lots of Exiges and Elises have gear change issues which Lotus stuggle to fix. My car unfortunately has a bit of a graunch when cold going from second to third so this should help or cure the problem.

Also getting a TRD cup intake fitted, this doesn't do a great deal in terms of performance but they sound amazing with the supercharger.  :driver:

My Forge intercooler arrived Last week.

Forge Intercooler by T0P cat, on Flickr

Fitted it today all by myself.  :innocent: Took about 3 hours longer than it would have taken your average Monkey but got there in the end.
The Exige's main weak spot is engine cooling. The only way to get air to the intercooler is through the roof scoop, the side scoops are mainly redundant so i might add some tubing to these at a later date. The bloody ECU really retards the timing after 2 or 3 laps so this should help a lot. The other option is Charge cooling which is very costly and heavy too.
The forge one is a bit heavier than stock, but i have some rather nice aluminum pipes coming from America to replace the Lotus industrial ones currently fitted.  :stupid: a 2 KG saving just on 2 small pipes.
