Lots of factors to consider here. Tyres, gearbox, weight (petrol etc). Assuming everything was the same there wouldn't be much difference.

Stage 1 gti would be quicker. 10hp more peak, even bigger gains in the midrasnge and alot more torque

Stock ed30 bear in mind 230ps is about 227hp

Bkuefin stage 1 tfsi

Thsts considering bluefin are normally lower on figures than the orpther options

R32 off the line every time. Once rolling it'd be close

Ed30 vs Golf mk6 R... nothing in it once up to speed! So id imagine not much in a ed30 vs R32 either  :happy2:

Mine was 241hp/270lbft stage 1 so its still relative.  Its not peak figures that make a car fast its the whole curve and the stage 1 gti is much stronger midrange which is where it counts lus ko3 spools quicker so n gear low revs it'd have the edge.  There are stage 1 cars making 245+ as well, but I thought id post the bluefon as the figures are normally reserved somewhat

Obviously totally different with a ko4 stage 1 which is equivalent to a stage 2+ ko3

Thought the R32 being an NA compared to the mk6 being a turbo would be interesting

not much in it ! I logged my gti stage 1 i had an intercooler as well though although the gains from this wouldnt make that much diferance, and it seemed to be quicker than the standard ed 30 times i did see that some posted times by cars with dsg were better, but manual v manual gti mapped id say !

Didn't we have this out @ Santa Pod a few years ago (before it snowed that is)....?  :signLOL:

Think it would be very close, but would say the Stage 1 GTI may nip it to 100. After that, I reckon the ED30 would claw it back and maybe take the lead (bigger turbo, more top end punch)..
