ive just about had enough now!!

After having my steering rack sorted at a cost of £1100 all has been ok. Then yesterday the rack was making odd noises, hard to explain but suction type noise, which i ignored as i thought it was just settling in and then just now driving home my engine management light came on and something is ratling around when i go over bumps. im hoping its just something loose but ive not had the car for 3 weeks and now its got to go back in.  :fighting: :fighting: :sad1:

yeh me too. hopefully the numpty didnt do something up properly but im not so sure it would cause an engine management light but will have to wait till the weekend and get it scanned and looked at properly. :mad:

yeh got to wait till saturday to get the car scanned. i could get AP to before sat but i have lost any type of enthusiam atm so will just take it to the garage and try to be nice while asking them to sort it  :signLOL:

thanks appreciate the sympathy lol. I think im going to leave it at the garage and say i dont want it back until its all sorted now. the funny noises and creaks im getting put me on edge wondering what it is and makes me not want to drive it.

i had much the same idea about mine, even after it was all 'repaired' by VW at a ost similar to yours, it was still creeking and making odd noises like you say! I have been driving with it like this for many months now and it hasnt fallen aprt :-) haha. I really think it is just a small problem made to sound so much worse with speed.....what are VW saying to you now?

well this work was completed through A VAG specialist who i know well and are certain it will be sorted and should cost anything much as long as its not something else and just a coincidence its happeneing just after the rack has been changed. Just want to get back to enjoying driving the dam thing. Just makes me wana sell up and get an s3 now as that was what i always really wanted.
