« on: July 16, 2011, 06:52:24 pm »
Hi guys I'm looking for some recommendations, I need:

-a type of spray on polish
-some type of exhaust tip cleaner
-some type of wax, spray on ideally.

I have superguard acidrain car shampoo already, is this any good?

With the exhaust apparantly you can get reallygood results with Silvo from Tesco and other good stores and a non scratch pan scourer and maybe some 0000 wire wool.

I'm gonna have a go at this myself soon

A good polish I would recommend dodo juice lime prime, not spray on but I'm not sure you would get such a thing. Exhaust tips just get some good metal polish and use some fine grade steel wool and finish off with a microfibre should clean up nicely. As for a wax well the market is flooded with them, spray on probably wouldn't last very long but if you get dodo polish try to get dodo wax to suit the colour of your car.

It all depends on what kind of time you want to spend doing it I recommend dodo because they are easy to use with good results.

Why do you need spray on products?

I've never heard of a spray-on polish for cars but looks like optimum do one. Remember, you will still need to work it in the same way as any other handpolish eg SRP.

Spray on waxes - Pinnacle do a spray wax, as do Meguairs and Turtlewax. Again, would a liquid wax be what you're after? There's a lot more liquid waxes as most "spray on" waxes are there to top up the wax.
