Boost gauge fitment

Morning chaps,

I've just bought a boost gauge similar to that of Robin's but it fits in a pod in the air vent.

Are these easy to plumb in myself or is it worth paying a garage to do it? (+how long would it take them)

You can do it yourself I fitted my own I would say it takes an hour tops   :happy2:

Pretty easy job, nothing hard just a bit fiddly getting the nylon pipe through the bulkhead.

Me too, but I could prob do it in an hour now..

Best place to feed the vac line through is behind the battery (remove the battery first).

there is a large grommet just above the abs unit , on the bottom of it you have a few nipples you can use just cut on off and you feed the pipe through into the rear passenger foot well . i used it fitting my tpms

Thanks for the tip.

Will come in handy if I mount braille battery in boot.  Thinking it will end up going in OEM position though.

Dum dum dummmmmm......

Installed the boost gauge by running the boost pipe into the breather pipe using a fancy little metal t-piece thing that attatches directly to the breather pipe.

The gauge works perfectly, but there is an annoying buzzing/rattling noise when boosting.  :fighting:

I've read about an anti buzz t-piece, and I think I have it in my kit, but I have no where to put it in my system, as the pictures will show, as the boost pipe runs from the metal t-piece directly to the gauge and no pipes have been cut...

Any ideas wise ones? :notworthy:

All you need is something in the vac line to reduce the internal size of it...

Excuse my stupidity but how do you fit a electrical gauge I'm looking a boost gauges at the moment and would like to consider both options
