OOO I like the front rascal, I'm about to get a spot of paint done on the front and the grey centre is looking a bit peppered, is it a cover or replacement, could you pm me the details Phil?

sorry Mike :notworthy:

Battery tray is nearly complete by the sounds, mini mod is on its way through Poland and then all the other bits to come  :innocent:

lookin good Mike,  :happy2:

Alex, you may want to think about sealing the cut edges of the carbon with some clear laquer or similar, the cut edges don't like being exposed there is a risk of moisture ingress causing delamination  tell me to shut the F up if you have done

Would much weight be saved with a carbon roof skin or would it just be a money spending exercise?  :innocent:

Ta for the reminder  :happy2:  I've not done it yet as there are a few other areas of the bonnet that need slight repair so while the gelcoat is mixed all the edges will get sealed up.  Just need mike to make his mind up on wrapping or not wrapping.

The skin on this bonnet is super thin.  You have to be careful when closing it.  If there was a strut then it would self open!

Im undecided.

Scuttle gloss black, with bonnet red

Scuttle red, bonnet raw carbon

scuttle standard, black plastic, bonnet red/ raw carbon.

You reccomend wrapping for a bit of 'protection' of the bonnet, Alex?

@Jake, thank you for helping make this happen.  I was asking Marc about this for longer than I can remember  :drinking:

It wasn't that bad a fit really.  Its a pain to adjust the panel gaps and line up at the front perfectly, but playing with the middle catch to set the centre hight then using the aerocatches to pull the sides down has worked a treat.

Did you see it fitted to Marc's car Jake?

The bonnet on the ibiza never chipped or marked somehow.  With this one being so flexible it should be quite resistant too.

Cool idea, think RStuning may have something similar on the meganes Carbon bonnet I think. Not keen though  :ashamed:
