Has anyone got this feature? Is there a guide to doing this and is it legal?

It's an option on VCDS. I've seen several 'super cars' with this feature, so I think it's legal. Unless someone else knows better?

If you brake hard enough it'll flash to show those behind that you are making an emergency braking. Mine does and i dont recall i have activated it with vcds.

Is it not the indicators that flash like hazard warning lights?

It is the hazard warning lights that flash.
Most cars have the feature but it will need coding
Newer Cars 2007+ should have it enabled
Minimum Requirements are 21 byte CECM
to enable it tick box in BYTE 17 bit 0
Genuine VCDS VAG-COM HEX-USB + Genuine Vag Commander + Genuine VAG Tacho + Genuine VAG CAN PRO  + RNS Manager for Video in Motion and New Pin Code for RNS510

Cluster and Key coding
