Specs missing from manual.
« on: August 10, 2011, 06:13:31 pm »
i was looking through the manual for my new GTi and the spec section at the back doesn't appear to have my car covered...strange!  unless i am looking at it wrong...am i right in saying that the GTi is the 147Kw engine?  the sort of specs i was after like recommended grade of oil, oil amount etc, bulbs, as well as the fact that it should just be there.

my car had a longlife oil change before i bought it, only about 1300 miles ago.  am i right in saying it's castrol slx 3 that goes in it?  i want to get a top up bottle.

if anyone can tell me what the bulbs are for front and rear etc, as i want to get a spares kit from Halfords tomorrow, i would appreciate it.

Any "VW approved" 5W-30 oil will do.

HEadlights, rearlights etc are standard golf. Headlamps are H7 I think. Useful site is powerbulbs.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
