Question for someone with factory fit xenon
« on: August 19, 2011, 05:53:53 pm »
Hey

Anyone tell me if all mk5 factory fit xenons came with auto levelling?

And if so

Does that mean you don't get the height adjustment switch next to the headlight switch?

Thanks

Should be auto levelling...my lights are always on auto and when you switch on the ignition they do a little sweep up and down.

From factory the xenons have auto leveling and headlight washers with the deletion of the manual headlight aim. Mine are retro fit but are has close to factory has can be, I have auto level with washers and no manual light aim scroll on the dash...but every retrofit ive done for people i try and get them has close to factory spec,

Did you Remove the Manual headlight aim as part of the retro fit as I am looking to install mine. If so what did you replace the control with?

Yes I removed the manual aim button and replaced it with one with just the dash light button...I'm not sure of the part number has i'm on a different laptop, mine has gone t*ts up and I broke the screen.

Do you just chance the headlight switch surround and leave the wiring? I'm guessing the wiring goes to the same location as the auto levellers?

Thanks
