EML on GTTdi
« on: September 07, 2011, 11:45:04 am »
Hi guys, I have an Engine Management Light on at the moment. The display says 'Emissions Workshop!'. The first thing I thought was DPF however i'm not sure it has one being 2004, next EGR? Is the only way to get a Diag reading to go to VW?

No DPF on a 2004, it could be the EGR valve or a lamda sensor?  Your dealer could read the fault code, but I'm sure a lindly member with VCDS will oblige.  If the code is P0401 then it is the EGR, an option would be to fit a delete pipe, they are only £70.

Thats what I was thinking, no DPF. Is there any benefit of the delete pipe? They appear to be £75 for a new valve.....

Anyone roughly around Reading that could read this for me?

Isn't it nice when two bits of info come together at just the right time?

One of the most infuriating things about this forum.......when you send a PM you have to physically check the box so the sent message appears in your outbox!!
