I would rather not have an intake! For me, these take the noise levels too far and sound silly, but I know you need it for it to be running properly once tuned!

My thoughts exactly and the only reason I did it... Don't get me wrong, I did like the sound of the intake flutter most of the time. But there is times when you're not in the mood and that's when having just a panel filter is bliss..

I think to get a full picture you need to log more than just MAF airflow. Maybe get a full suite of data (MAF, MAP, ignition angle, injector duty, fuel pressure, AFR ), and post it on here for some useful public scrutiny. Probably won't harm for sending on to your calibration file provider too.

Out of curiousity what was your AFR like at JKM?

If you want a really unscientific test, you could try a 3rd gear run against my car (Shark Stg1 K03) - if your car is really making 248 (what's the torque BTW?), then it should be pretty even, but if yesterday's dyno time was a transient oddity, you'll romp away.

Ill do some more logging tonight if i can. Just had a reply from Superchip and they want me to send over a copy of my eeprom read which ill do after work

AFR looked ok. Ill upload a snap of the graph later on

Thats a good idea John - if I am intact faster (apparently 280ft/lb of torque) then I should pull away with ease

I know in the past he said my vreds tyres were slipping on a previous RR day, but i know mandy also runs the same tyres but im sure she runs alot less PSI then i set mine at AFAIK.

My Bluefin maps torque is 320 lb ft, the same as Dwaine's Stage 2 Revo with intake, and mandys revo 2 is alot lower in torque for some reason...

All i want is a flat torque curve without a nasty spike, which wont do my dsg very good.

Yes I am running vreds on 38 psi, think that's about right?

Had low torque on stage 1 but was sorted by changing spark plugs, went from 270 to 290lb/ft.

Current torque is 305lb/ft on stage 2.

Nodz: some good pics.  :happy2:

You're welcome to give the idea a punt one evening. Just let me know.

I went from 334 bhp last time to 287 this time - do I get a prize for biggest drop of the day?

It appears that a coilpack on cyl #2 went and I think while on the RR as it felt OK driving down but rough going home with the CEL flickering when in higher revs. Luckily I have VCDS at home and found a new spare coilpack in my garage  :happy2:

You'd think with saga that was the early revision push fit coils on the 1.8t 20v that the tfsi coils might be more reliable! They were a complete pain on the 1.8t until about rev h (so many revisions I lost count).

Quote from: Superchips
Your Stage 2 Superchip remap is ready to download

 :driver:

Lets see what difference it makes when I get home! They've sent me a new Stage 2 map from what I can understand, so this should iron the creases out once and all.

Excellent service too!
