axle stands

might be a silly question... but i'm not machanically minded but willing to have a go...

I am looking at repainting my calipers at the weekend providing the weather holds out... I have all the bits but wondering the correct position to place the stands....

There is no specific place but most put them on the front control arm bush as seen here, this is the anti lift kit which is the same. If you have a standard bush, it will be silver. 

The play arrow on the vid points right to it.  :happy2:

Very nice.  :happy2: I think it is down to Monza's that made the Mk 5 so popular, well done VW for giving us them.  :love:

Definitely, the Monza II's first attracted my attention to the Mk5 GTI :happy2:
