RNS510 firmware version question

May be a silly question (and I'm sure the answer is in here somewhere) but can anyone tell me how to find out what firmware version etc my RNS510 unit is? Also will an update to the latest version give me full post code recognition or do I need the latest maps DVD?

Both maps and F/w updates. If the secret menu is activated, you can get to it by pressing and holding the setup button. Otherwise you'll need someone with VCDS to activate it.
