I have a standard GTI w/K04 upgrade and more. I imagine it is like an edition 30 now. I've put in NGK Laser Platinums at around 50k miles. I have 75k miles now and it's been running great.

See this page for the latest info, it seems VW has officially changed to a colder plug:

....I've had those on my car for a very long time and regularly change them every 20,000 miles. Keeps everything running sweet.
