Are you thinking of WMI as well.  Would you use it as an add on or would you tune for it. Be intrigued to see the potential gains on this engine, I think it could be more pronounced on this engine because of how hot it gets in the engine bay.  That heat might also be a good reason for not using the washer bottle.

He is using a Devil's own meth kit. Located in the boot, but he also recommends using the washer fluid tank.

I think id go for a separate bottle personally.  I go away for quite pro longed periods and id be fairly certain my mmisus would end up putting water fluid in there which surely wont be good if its sprayed into the inlet.  Either that or they would fill it up during a service
Not a problem I have as my missis has never filled anything in any car we have ever owned!  :signLOL:

John what are these two 11lb bottles in the boot dear?

Don't worry about those darling, infact don't ever worry about anything that seems unusual about the car on a monthly basis  :signLOL: :signLOL:

Well, I thought that I'd better see what stuff weighs before it goes on the car, so here we are...

OEM wheels with tyres weigh 20.0kg - lighter than I thought.

Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 alloys and tyres weigh in at 17.6kg - a saving of 2.4kg a corner.

Spare came out of the boot = another 14kg gone.

Bilstein B16 PSS10's weigh 20.5kg including the box!

Milltek Stainless steel Turbo-back exhaust system weighs 19.4kg including the box I laid it on.

Lightweight race battery weighs 7.3kg

Once the OEM suspension and Exhaust is off I'll get a weight saving and post it up.
Golf R gone.

Nice, very nice... Look like you are in a hurry .

One question: what are the rim and tire specs? I know you have TD pro race 1.2 but I am interested in rim width, offset and tire size.
Thanks!

You could've had it done by now if you weren't obsessed weighing everything.

Weighed the car today. Spare tyres in and half a tank of fuel and it weighed exactly 1,200kg. Gives me the baseline weight to work from. Aim is to get to 1,100 kg with the same amount of fuel.

I work at a paper converting company and we have a weighbridge. Measures to a kilo and guaranteed accuracy to that.  :happy2: just parked up on the way out of work and popped into the gatehouse for a look.
And I wasn't in the car, I have a pic on my phone :signLOL:
