Hey all,
When I gave my car to VW to service a few weeks back it was returned with a deep scratch in the black plastic plate that surrounds the DSG gearstick. After some to-ing and fro-ing they agreed to change it free of charge. I have just picked it up and it also has a brand new DSG stick as well! All good you might think, but on closer inspection I've noticed the actual knob at the top of the gearstick no longer has the leather grip but a soft touch faux leather plasticky stuff. Does anyone know if new GTIs now come with this type instead of the leather one or have I been palmed off with a cheaper version from a regular DSG stick?
