OSIR GT fog
« on: October 25, 2011, 09:42:36 am »
I liked Robins vented fog surrounds and I'm thinking about plastic not carbon on a black Pirelli

A picture of matt carbon on a black car, give a good impression of what it might look like

Thoughts ?

PS my grill surround, mirrors, front lip and roof are wrapped in matt

With your very subtle matt roof I think they'll look ace! As you know at JKM, I suddenly spotted your matt roof and thought it was a wow. Part wrapping the bonnet as well, like we discussed, might be gilding the lily but I may be wrong.

I see that OSIR have made some improvements to their first generation panels.

If you get some, you may achieve a slightly better fit around the foglights themselves if you shave the back where they meet. This may be more relevant with my Hella DRL units which are not angled as the OEM foglights are. Anyway, you'll see what the fit is like and that's a tip to improve it IF needed.

 :happy2: from me

You could always paint or wrap them gloss / carbon / pink if you change the scheme on the car

Yep, full of win for me. I looked at getting some earlier in the year (the plastic ones), also to go on a black GTI but was put off as it looked like you had to drill them. Looks like that has been sorted now though.

Let me know if you get a decent price please :happy2:

Parts4euro I think it is get OSIR parts and label them so you don't get stung with import taxes far as I remember  :happy2:

^^^True, but they have worst customer service known to man. I ordered some OSIR goodies from them and after a 6 week wait, they hadn't even put them in the post, so I'm still looking to go elsewhere.

If TTshop don't have the OSIR parts you want in stock it can take a while to get manufactured and shipped from Hong Kong. But TTshop are very good at telling you the truth and doing all they can to help. I've bought all my OSIR carbon from TTshop. I've also heard negative things about Parts4euro but I don't have any direct experience of them myself.

I should add I've never used parts4euro and after hearing your experience may never do,  :happy2:
