Dump valve/ adapter...
« on: October 26, 2011, 07:04:57 pm »
Just wondering if anyone was running any of these Forge blow-off valve/ adapters??
Might be a bit 'chavvy' but I love the dumping noise of my mates ST   :jumping:

Blow Off Adaptor for VAG FSiT TFSi Turbo Engines:

Replacement Valve for 1.4 and 2.0litre FSiT TFSi Engines:

I've read a few threads which comment on the fact the MK5 GTI's are not set up for a dump valve, and instead, an adapter valve is used....
Does this mean the dump valve in the second link would not be suitable for the GTI (KO3) engine??

Depending on the outcome of this will determine how much my little sis will be spending at Christmas  :signLOL:

I am and actually quite like it, not as prominent as I thought it was gonna be... You just want a forge spacer...

Thanks for the response...clears things up a bit! Spacer it is then  :jumpmove:

Not sure whether to go for the forge twintake or the more OEM looking evoms intake  suppose keeping it all forge might be the best option!  :happy2:

That's my plan got the turbo and throttle hoses coming this week before a custom remap in a few weeks. Can't afford a twin cooler ATM.

I want to get the forge spacer but have diverter D would it fit i heard it wont? Does that cause any running issues at all?

The FMDV14T fits the Rev D fine :)

Not as great as I'd hoped... I think because it's DSG the gear changes are too quick to hear a prominent 'tshhh'!

There is more noticeable chatter though if you're into that kind of thing!

I have a forge spacer at home....had it taken off tho for my maps, the car looks for the air that the valves loose by making the noise....it's like having a split boost pipe,
Shame as I loved my spacer with twintake  :sad1: made awsome chatter
