NSR wheel bearing - replacement required
«

G'day Folks,
Just at VW Burnley, and they have told me on the MOT my NSR wheel bearing is rough and needs replacing.
My question is, should they be replaced in pairs? I.e both rears?
Been quoted £115 inc vat for the part, is that good or bad?

I replace both of mine at the same time.
But no it is not a requirement. It is the whole hub, not just the bearing. Removal of the bolts can be a right tw@t too, with years of road grime and corrosion.
£115 is a bargain. From memory the part is about that!!!!

Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.
